Summary: Great, Speedy Dilevery
Comment: It is wonderful and it got here BEFORE the first expected arrival date. They also put a lollipop in the package just to be nice. I am very satisfied.

Summary: Good charger, OK sound quality, but difficult to tune in cities
Comment: Works well in the middle of nowhere, but forget it if you live in a city. Driving across country, I was able to listen for most of the way, but you do have to retune frequently, which can be dangerous. The sound quality is OK (not great). I am mostly just using it as a car charger for my iPod, with a cassette adapter for the sound.

Summary: Doesn't work as charger for iPod Touch 2g....
Comment: ...unfortunately I just found this out the hard way. I have used it in the past with an iPod Nano 2g and it worked excellently, however. It still works as an FM Transmitter for the iPod Touch 2g, but doesn't function as a charger. Would recommend unless you also happen to have an iPod Touch 2g....

Summary: Not a problem
Comment: I bought this device after a lenghty research on reviews for RF transmitters.

Obviously at the end I went for the one that had the least negative reviews. I didn't find any ipod RF transmitter that had only positive reviews.

It seemed to me that it all depended on the radio stations population on the area you live, and the car you have.

In my case with a PT Cruiser living in The Netherlands (Europe) I didn't have any issues. It worked first time right. Even if I leave my ipod inside the CD compartment.

I expect other areas will be difficult to get a clear gap free of radio stations, or moving from a city to another too many local radios will conflict with the free station that you were using before.

Also the car type and the location of the radio antena will influence the reception. Car roofs can shield emisions from this device, as well as the antenna might filter emissions coming from inside the car.

So my advice, go for a device that will not hurt your pocket just in case that you aren't as lucky as me.

The worst thing of this device is the fact that memorised radio stations are lost if the device is unplugged. Still the last one used is mantained, which is an acceptable limitation.

Summary: it's not all of what we are expecting.
Comment: So I'm not BS'ing you people here's a simple overview about me I'm a commercial delivery driver that works in San Francisco, CA as my deliveries range from SF to South Lake Tahoe, Redding, Livermore and finally Monterey. But most of the time my main delivery areas are San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose. I have done a full thrall research on the web of the Kensington 33185 Digital FM Transmitter for the iPod. This product has allot of positive reviews as there are few bad reviews, I've read they all.

The last FM transmitter I had was the iRIVER AFT 100 with the universal mini-jack. This transmitter are one of best transmitter that exist on the market, it's just too bad they didn't have an iPod adapter back then. It looks exactly like the Kensington 33185 except its black with a silver finish on the outside of its ends. A gigantic advantage was this product really worked well. From SF to South Lake Tahoe or Redding I had only had to change the channel from 88.1 to 109.7 one time in driving out there. Other then that this product locked on to frequencies as Aerielle did what it supposed to do plus it stayed locked without noise or static. It's a highly recommended product to buy if you attach it to a portable CD player.

Back to the Kensington 33185 is an OK product as it's not the greatest transmitter out there. I'm still searching for the product that resembles the performance of the iriver aft100. Honestly, I think it's a hit or miss on this product of either some people get a good product or not or Aerielle is not replicating nor advancing their technology further to filter out static noises and station locking. In SF financial district there are 2 major areas where you will totally loose your frequency lock as it jumps onto an areal radio station. The good thing that came out of this product is it's wire that leads from the mechanism to your iPod plug due to the rubber is much thinker and it's probably has better shielding. For us people that uses iPod's where ever we get into our vehicles, this is a very convenient product that keeps your iPod charged at all times.

Hoped this helped & thank you.
