Summary: Disappointing
Comment: I bought this, being familiar with the Travelsound 200, and was hoping I would be getting similar quality/sound with the difference being in the features. Well, I can say that the quality just isn't there. Sound distortion is evident at mid to high levels and it has some quirkiness about volume. The unit feels cheaply made too, which this whole thing is something of a surprise because the Travelsound 200 is a very nice unit, and doesn't feel cheap at all. It's like they were made in different countries or something.

Summary: would be very nice with AC adapter
Comment: I bought this item for my mom because she had seen it at a friends house. She really likes it, but the lack of AC adapter is something she could live without. I looked into buying a Creative adapter, but the price I found was over twice what I paid for the actual speakers! So, needless to say, I didn't buy them.
Good product overall, but it would be really nice if it came with the adapter.

Summary: Good for the money
Comment: Just got my Travelsound Silver yesterday and have been using it. Other reviews are correct that you can't crank it without static and distortion...but hey...it's a little inexpensive speaker...what do you expect? I bought it on sale from Creative for $20. It was SO worth it! I checked out portable MP3 speakers at Radio Shack, and this out-performs their $40 model.
I figured out that things "sound better" if you use the MP3 player setting for Rock, Acoustic, etc. True, you don't get sweet sweet base, but my regular boom box doesn't either.
I found a nice balance between using the MP3 player volume and the speaker volume to get less distortion. If I crank up the Creative Zen Micro to volume setting 25, I get distortion even on low volumes on the speaker. Conversely, if I crank the speaker and keep the Zen volume low, there's static at the top end of the speaker volume. So...just keep your player at a mid-volume and the speaker at a mid-volume and it's fine.
For me, this is for travel in hotel rooms and my 3 month trip to Europe. I don't like wearing headphones all the time (can't hear phone ring or knock on door). This is perfect. I can also hook it up to my laptop for presentations that have volume or for movies. Headphones ALWAYS get a better sound, but I'm singing along anyway or doing chores...so this is a nice little speaker for that.
The carrying bag is barely padded. The bottom support folds under which is nice. I think for travel (in my carryon) I'll put some hard cardboard as a makeshift cover for the speaker elements in case it gets wacked in my bag.
Good for $20, I'd even pay $40 for it too.

Summary: Great Voice Quality for the Small Size
Comment: Great Voice Quality packed in a small bundle. Small Size makes it easy to carry while travelling. Would recommend to buy an universal power adaptor for home use.
I have used this product for one month now...thumbs up from me. But Guys keep your expectations real based on price and size....do not expect highest voice quality at higher volumes.

Summary: It's easy to share the songs on your mp3 player
Comment: One of the problems with an mp3 player is that it is difficult to share what you are listening to with others. You must take off your earphones to let someone else listen to the song you enjoyed so much. With the Creative TravelSound, this problem is solved. Just pop your mp3 player into the Creative TravelSound and now everyone can hear the music together. The sound is quite good and the batteries seem to last for a long time. You can also get an AC adapter if you use it a lot.
I also use my mp3 player to record lectures that I attend or give. I find it easier to listen to the lectures with the Creative TravelSound than using my earphones.
All in all, my Creative TravelSound is a great accessory to my mp3 player.
