Summary: One of the best Ipod Dock speaker systems
Comment: I looked at a ton of these Ipod systems and the Bose was one of the best. Honestly I can't believe how tinny and weak the vast majority of these systems are. In the sub <$100 rage I only found one decent system and even that one fell apart as soon as you moved 6 feet away from it.
At the original price I thought this was pretty overpriced even though the sound was nice. At the new price it is much easier to swallow although I really wish they'd drop the original one and just sell the Portable version at the price of the one above. Sound quality is nice and warm with good bass and smooth midrange. The highs are a bit lacking with some material but overall it is a very nice. The Sounddock really does a nice job of filling the room with sound. I don't own any other Bose product because I think they cost too much for what you get, but in this case with the new price drop this isn't a bad deal.
Most non-audiophiles will find the sound very pleasing. Again if your considering a cheaper model try and save up for this one, you'll be happy you did.

Comment: it arrived on time, in great condition, and although I returned it, it wasn't because of the product. I didn't even open the box but everything seemed to be in tact. And my refund was promptly returned. very satisfied.
