Summary: Great picture with flat screen
Comment: I purchased this unit to use in our travel trailer mainly for its small size and flat screen. It fits very tight, but serves it's purpose well since the flat screen makes it viewable from different angles, and with 6 people watching at once, thats important to us. The screen is clear and bright, best color and picture I have seen among all the top brands. Had it for 4 months- no problems.

Comment: I just bought the set - my initial reaction is very good. I knew the sound wouldn't be a big plus as it is a 14" set....but comparing other 14" sets in the store it had the best sound and picture. Amazon offers it at a great price - I paid $15 more. This is a tv for my office I have a s-video capable dvd and a pc - I plan to hook everything up - so my sound card and pc will boost the dbx stereo the tv offers. For a non-primary tv I am quite pleased and I have had good experiences with Toshiba products. For the money and features and my intended use I give it a thumbs up - let's hope the other user who had his/her set fail was a rarity. Btw - there is a 1 year parts and 2 year warranty on the picture tube - pretty much standard for the industry.

Comment: I just got the Toshiba 14AF444 TV and the picture quality is superb. They claim "rich stereo sound" with the built-in speakers but, as one can imagine, the small speaker size lacks bass and you'll probably want to run the sound through at least a small receiver powering some real speakers.

Comment: We have had the tv for about 8 months and we have already lost our picture.We also had alot of trouble with the remote, it would not work all of the time. We are now in the market for another tv.

The front A/V inputs are really handy--you can plug your camcorder in and watch movies immediately. Nice to not have to get in behind the unit to do so. I'm using it to make animations and small movies, so it is a great size to sit along side my computer & related equipment. Perfect unit for me. Not too heavy also at 24 pounds.
Note: It comes without cables, etc. Only the TV, remote control (a nice one) and owners manual, so you'll need to purchase whatever connecting cables you plan to use.
I think it's going to be a fine monitor for my needs.
